JABELI


Jabeli is a typical Indian sweet and Pakistan and Bangladesh. Although it is also consumed during Ramadan in the Maghreb. In English jalebi is written, but the letter" j" is pronounced as in the English name John . Jabeli is believed to be native to northern Indian.It is a traditional dish that is an important part of many festivals and celebrations. It is made frying a liquid mass and soaked in syrup. The liquid mass of:
 1 cup flour
2 tablespoons cornmeal
3/4 cup plain yogurt
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
2 tablespoons clarified butter
 4 to 5 drops of yellow food coloring.
Water, amount needed
For the most part it is orange but some times are white. Can be served hot or cold. Its texture os softer tahn cruachy.The jalebi, which is the main protagonist of numerous celebrations held in India.
